Description
The original name of Haystack Rock at Cape Kiwanda is said to be ‘Chief Kiawanda Rock’ named after a very well known Chief of the Nestugga Tribe from the early 1800's (note spelling difference).It sits one mile off the beach and is the tallest of the three Haystack Rocks on the Oregon Coast with it’s 327 feet (100m) and the fourth tallest sea stack or off-shore monolith in the world.
